Deb VanSteenbergen knows the importance of a needle and thread. When her husband was diagnosed with cancer, she would accompany him to his treatments. While she sat and waited, she noticed people would be alone and cold during their treatment. At that moment she decided she wanted to give back. After her husband passed, she knew she had to start quilting in order to heal. Powered by volunteers and donations, Quilts That Care has made more than 500 quilts to date.
